The Lemonade Stand was founded on a commitment to uplifting and supporting emerging artists in Philadelphia and the surrounding area. We have so far developed or produced seven different new work plays and are just getting started!
If you would like to be a part of this growing list of playwrights featured at the Lemonade Stand, please consider submitting to our open call for scripts below! This form stays open all season, but internal deadlines for specific projects may be set.
Submit before October 25th, 2025 to be considered for our spring 2026 fully-produced slot.

The Lemonade Stand is proud to be an official partner of 1319 Press! As a partner theatre company, all of our mainstage shows will have a direct path to publication, while our playwrights will join the incredible community already fostered by 1319 Press.
The goal of 1319 Press is to highlight the talent of emerging playwrights by giving them a way to share their work beyond just a PDF. By publishing their writing with 1319, playwrights have a way to distribute their script that also provides them with revenue to sustain their livelihoods or even help fund future productions.
